Why can't I add pictures to my posts?

Post  roya96 on Tue Jul 26, 2011 6:38 am

Hi All,

I am a new member. When I try to paste an image, or I try to paste a flicker url image,
I get a message that I can't post links. How do I upload a picture then?

hi roya96 welcome to the forum wave

I don't know why your flickr links aren't working. But here's another way you can post pictures...
When you joined the forum, an account at servimg.com is created. You should have received an email about it and can access your account from there. Or you can use the 'host image' button (menu icons above the reply box) and post the middle link that comes up.

more info on posting images here....

In the reply box, in the long list of boxes, above the text box, the 15th box from the left can be clicked on to upload images directly from your computer. The next box (16th) over should allow you to paste a link to a photo and upload it to your comment.

re pictures

Post  roya96 on Wed Jul 27, 2011 2:54 am

Well, when I preview it, it works fine, I can see the image. When I send it, I get an error that I am not allowed to post images or emails.

Is this a problem with my account?

Do I need to be a paying member to load pictures? It's weird that I can preview the image but I can't send it for others to see.

No, you do not have to be a paying member at this board at all and you shouldn't be getting that message when you try to post images.

Can you simply copy and paste the page link to the post?

NOTICE: In another topic I gave roya96 feedback about that I noticed that he/she did not use the correct bbcode or url to post pictures; after this feedback this member was soon able to post images.

My feedback for roya96 is available here:

PS. Regarding the question about 'paying members': this is a FREE forum and we do not present any 'paid' services, which implicates that every member is able to share pictures & other materials.
