Hello,
Has anyone had much experience or knowledge about the wide ATD angle present on some palms and it being often classed as abnormal? I do believe this sign needs other indicators to make any difference?

Yes Sari, what you write is very true:

- A high positioned axial triradius plays a very significant role in quite a few common disorders & diseases (+ even more uncommon genetic disorders, such as e.g. Down syndrome).
- But as always... one has to consider other hand signs in order to judge the significance of this INBORN hand characteristic in the perspective of each single of those diseases.

At my website I have presented a long list of significant hand signs for Diabetes Mellitus & Down syndrome.

The 4 requirements described in each section show how to combine the high positioned axial triradius with specific other hand signs in order to find out whether a person is likely to develop Diabetes Mellitus (or to find out if a person was born with Down syndrome).

PS. I think that ANY hand sign really ALWAYS requires the consideration of specific other hand signs.

Hi,
Thanks, I'm looking more into this because my axial triradius is high, and my mother has diabetes, (I haven't checked her hand for the signs yet) my grandfather died from complications of diabetes (back in the 60's they couldn't treat it properly), so it does run in the family. I personally don't have any signs of diabetes or down syndrome, but it is something to think about. I saw this also on a hand of a police officer and he seemed in perfect health.
Very interesting...
