Hi,
There are many books which describe about different aspects of the palm reading as individual topics/elements.

Is there a book, which shares the knowledge on combination of the topics/elements?
For ex: Take simian line. We have read in diff. books what a Simian line means.
Is there a book which describes how would the simian line on different types of hands(earth/water/fire/air) would reflect upon the person?

Take strong jupiter mount. How does this cause a different outlook on earth/fire/air/water hands.

I understand that if someone wants to combine the different topics/elements then there would be plenty of them. I am just looking for basics or the major combinations which makes a significant differences.

Are there any books which you have come across in which any combination has been described? If so, pls recommend.

Hello Kiran,

Amongst the recently published books I found Palmistry the Universal Guide By Altman as the most balanced with room for all aspects.Views are balanced and practical. The author's work seem very original. And personal anecdotes with case studies make it an interesting read. The author seem to keep a track of the developments in Classical Palmistry with some references to medical aspects also.

Elemental Chirology I have not read and can not comment anything.

hi Kiran, basically the only books I can think of that are specifically about 5-element chirology are Terry Dukes "Chinese Hand Analysis" and Jen Hirsch's book & e-books.

Of course Johnny Fincham uses the elemental approach without always specifically talking about the elements. Neal Criscuolo and Tony Crisp use some element stuff in their book "Reading Hands". Fred Gettings uses some but only basics, I don't think he covers combinations. Christopher Jones' books aren't available as far as I know.

But surely you will learn it on Jen's course. Once you understand the element basics and the individual features, you will find it easier to combine elements & features. It might also help if you stop thinking in terms of 'hand types' - all hands are a combination of all elements! If you meant 'hand shape' - that is just one feature of the hand, how we use our energy, how we express it out into the world.

.

Hmmmm.... of course, Dukes got his use of the four elements from Fred Gettings and I started my studies in handreading with Dylan Warren-Davies, who was a student of Dukes in the period from 1981-1987

Neal Criscuolo was one of my students in the early 1990's who attended a Beginners course and then thought he was expert enough to write his own book (!) And Jenni Hirsch did a Foundation Diploma correspondence course with me c1992-1994, which she has then reproduced and disseminated around South Africa, and now on the web, often word for word.

Johnny Fincham started learning handreading from Dave Gillon in 1986 (Gillon having been a student of Dukes) and then did a lot of seminars with me - and also with Dukes directly - in the period from 1989-1996. He is the only one who did the Intermediate Diploma with me and, of course, writes in the most original manner. The structure of his written work often owes a great deal to the courses I taught in the 1990's - but the content is inimitably his own and is, therefore, most highly recommended.

You will learn something of the elements from reading all of these authors but the significant act of developing a working understanding of the elements so you can easily and readily combine the elements in looking at hand features is something only you can do for yourself.

Thank you Raman. I have purchased that book of Altman recently.
I amn't specifically looking for elemental also. Even, if its otherwise, I am fine with it, as long as it deals with combinational cases.

Thank you Lynn. I am looking more on combinations( elemental or non-elemental) than having a descriptions individually. Yes, I meant - HAND SHAPES there. Oh...nooo! I have to be bit conscious on this term. I often exchange these words. Thank you for pointing out.

Yes, I saw some combination descriptions in Johnny's book(spellbinding power...) in chapter related to skin textures. If I can get a little text and basic info, I can pickup from there.
