Hello!
I'm Natascha and have been reading palms at markets and parties for about a year now. I absolutely love it!!!
Well I live in Canada but have a second home in the Caribbean, where I will start reading palms in a Casino (yey!). All dressed up & center of attention. This is a new situation for me and I'm a bit nervous....
Does anybody have advice on giving super-quick readings in a setting like that? Like 1-10 minute readings? I usually give 20-50 minute readings and have trouble cutting it down.

I thought about commenting on a couple of things that really stand out to me and then asking if they have a specific area of interest or question.
(hopefully they won't all ask if they're gonna win or what their lucky numbers are scratch

Any advice?

Thank you all so much!

Hello Natascha,

First of all, welcome at this forum!

Regarding the setting of a casino, you probably better avoid talking about people chances to win... just to avoid disappointments, etc. But your plan sounds just fine: telling them your first quick observations + providing them the opportunity to ask a question is likely a good strategy.

And maybe when people start asking about their financial luck... these reports about 'finger lengths' vs 'taking financial risks' might serve as a valuable tool to make people aware of their tendencies - in terms of their own finger lengths, etc:

Wishing you good luck for this new challenge!

Good luck! Sounds fun jocolor . Be careful not to drain yourself. Reading many subjects can be quite taxing.

I sketch figure drawing and we begin our sessions with some 5 poses of 3 minutes each. It is very challenging but I feel like I learn most from these poses, as it forces me to capture the essence, the totality of the lines, the long lines of the subject.

Thanks Martijn for your reply. Interesting article - I actually used some of this info at my first night yesterday in the casino. Thanks!

The strategy of major points & questions worked, and zaobhand, I ended up doing sessions of 10-20 mins anyways, so it wasent too exhausting.

And nobody asked about their luck or numbers or if they would win!!!

Good luck sunny

It sounds like a dynamic setting, but it may be useful long run to collect (either take prints or photographs) of hands and take notes. You may come upon really interesting hands and stories and regret not having taken references. Cheers

Thank you all so much!

How exciting!!

I've haven't had the opportunity to read professionally in such a exotic location, but I've read at casinos locally, on the Ohio River. I love the extravagance! And I love the dressing up part, too!

Much of my work comes from reading hands at events so I'm pretty good at doing 8 to 10 minute readings.

Martijn's advice is good, which is obvious since you already found it useful!

I avoid letting them ask questions when I need to move people fast and am in an environment that it'd be best that the readings didn't evoke heavy feelings. Also, you can stay in control of the situation better when you choose what to read.

You are already a skilled palmist, I can tell from your posts, but here's my suggestion for quick readings when there's a line of people waiting for you. Have a few points that are fairly generalized, such as a person's heart line's ending, that you can almost say without thinking about what you are saying. Then while you are saying these things (about 30 seconds) scan the palms and go to what 'jumps out at you'. This, coincidentally, is very often related to what they would ask you if they did ask a question.

I think 15 to 20 minute readings are closer to a private reading situation and there it would be easier to work with the subject the client is interested in.

Have fun!

Thanks! for the encouragement and advice! And yes, it is very exciting! I love having a reason to really dress up with red feather in hair and all.....kinda like being in show biz happy move

It's great meeting people from different countries all in one evening and seeing how different they are, but also how human and similar they all are in the end.

And yes, I want to take palm pictures but don't know how people would react. I think prints are too messy with the folks in evening garb...

My problem is still keeping the time down; I'll work on that with your suggestions Patti.

Thanks again!
