Dear Friends,

What and how much part does intuition play in palm reading. I read a book (I will have to search out the author) who mentioned Cheiro being highly intuitive we cannot really follow how he has red the palm logically. Many a times we are at a loss to understand how he could give readings based on the prints he has posted but they turn to be absolutely right according to what Cheiro has commented. While reading palms I know this to be true since on quite a few occasions I have commented and read something which was not there but it turned to be true as future events proved.

One Widow, pregnant when her husband died, was from a very poor family married to a rich person. Her husband would drink day and night and she would manage his business. I remember telling her so many things which I never found in her palm. But when I commented I did not know I am not reading her palm but what is going to happen to her. I call this the Voice of God. When my intention to see the person gain positively in life I find this pleasant interruption from HIM very profitable to those whose palms I had then read. When your mind and heart is clean we would always like to see that the person who comes to us for help gets good help which benefits them. In this case I told this lady, who was asked to leave the house of her husband by her father-in-law, that she will definitely get back the property. Within 4/5 days of my commenting I received news from my friend, who took me to this lady to see her palm, that she was approached by her father in law and offered substantial amount with a promise that she will not remarry and look after the child. Unfortunately this lady being young and beautiful and without her husband, who was no more started getting offers from boys of all ages as she now had wealth too. I told her, again intuitively, if you think of marriage seriously, your only child will be hositalised with some serious illness. This too happened within 2/3 months of my prediction.

There are quite a few other instances where intuition helps you in giving prediction of a person which cannot be logically explained and this is beyond the powers of human being, I feel. It is always HE who guides you to send a message to HIS well wishers.

To explain the above I give a another example: I was only 14, standing on a Railway Platform to catch a train in the night. As the train was approaching I saw a poor lady going across very slowly towards the edge of the platform. I was too young to understand that she wanted to jump in front of the approaching train. Something in me pushed me to rush towards her and I did that without any thought for my safety. In the nick of time I managed to pull her back. After that I started thinking why did I do that for I might have risked my life but then it is HE working through us.

So the above is an indication of how HE works through us to send message to HIS children and intuition helps us to convey HIS message to those who approach us.

Hello Pravin Kumar,

Thank you for describing your thoughts about the nature of intuition (voice-of-god), and your observation regarding your own life.

Thumb up

Yes, I can relate to what you described, and I recognize that in all human-contact related professions intuition probably plays at least a small role (or larger role - but this likely varies from person to person).

And I am also aware that some people who call themselves a 'palmist' do not really rely on the techniques described in the palmistry literature - nor any other literature about hands. Basically, these people could also be described as a 'psychic reader' who only use the hand as an object for induction (other 'psychic readers' may prefer to use a cristal bowl, tarot cards, or some other kind of tool/object).

And I believe that even in 'modern hand reading' intuition plays some kind of role - though beyond the concept of the 'voice-of-god', it can also be DEVELOPED with the acquisation experience. Intuition then becomes the result of learning - which can manifest as a super-concious intelligence / wisdom.

But I also belief that intuition is not always involved in all types of hand reading. For example, in 'scientific palm reading' (a new concept that I will try introduce & define in 2011 with many more specified details at my website) intuition basically plays no role at all.

These are just a few thoughts to illustrate that intuition indeed relates to the 'magic' of life,
because it at least partly appears to manifest beyond the senses.

Thanks!

PS. One more thought... a word of caution:

Some individuals tend to mix their primary emotions with their intuitions - which can easily be recognized by the results: confusion, delusion, conflicts, etc. So, basically I would always prefer to advice beginning hand readers to FOCUSS on developing their skills & knowledge. And with growing experience... as a side-effect intuition might turn out to become an additional valuable tool.

So, beyond the 'voice-of-god' concept - I believe that intuition also has a rather complex psychological component which relates to our individual inner nature.

HI Pravin,
Great topic for discussion! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us, how fantastic that you saved someone's life!!

I understand what you are saying. Like you, I've had instances where I find myself saying something then think "Where did I see this on the hand?" and can't logically explain why I said it.

I think the 'source' of this is a matter of personal belief. You call it the 'Voice of God'. Other people say it comes from their 'Spirit Guides'. Personally, I think our subconscious mind knows a lot more than our conscious! But really who knows where it comes from, we just know that it somehow happens!

One thing that used to happen to me was picking up people's illness or physical pain, actually feeling it in my body. Also their emotions.
two examples -

We were booked to do readings at a lady's house in the evening. During the morning my left arm began to hurt and the pain got worse all day. I didn't recall doing any injury to my arm but by late afternoon the pain was so bad I thought I would have to cancel the readings. But I got a feeling to put my arm in a sling, I found some cloth to make a sling and it felt a little better. So we went to the lady's house. She opened the door and her right arm was in a sling with a plaster cast - she had recently broken it and was in a lot of pain. As soon as I saw her, the pain in my arm completely disappeared and I felt fine! (by the way I often felt these things as a mirror image - my left arm, her right arm). I have no idea why this should happen, I'd never met the lady before, it seems to serve no purpose for helping her in a reading etc.

One time I was doing a reading, I touched the woman's heartline with my thumb and immediately experienced an overwhelming crushing pain in the left side of my chest and down my arm. The pain was so bad, I couldn't speak and felt myself about to fall sideways off the chair! At the same moment I felt such a terrible deep grief in the heart and solar plexus, a tragic emotion so strong I wanted to let out an agonising scream "aaargh! NO!". Then I realised that (thankfully) I have never personally experienced such an awful thing, the emotional pain and the physical pain belonged to the client. As soon as I had this thought, the pain & emotion disappeared and I was able to explain to her what I felt. I said "I think you have experienced some terrible loss, heart-rending grief, the emotion affected you physically in your heart". She told me that she had suddenly lost several members of her family (I think it was a car accident) and the grief was so terrible that it gave her a heart attack and she almost died herself. After the incident she turned to a more spiritual life and became a spiritual healer. It brought tears to her eyes to see me re-living her experience, tho she was very calm as she explained it, it had happened many years ago and now she had come to terms with it. However I was very shaken up by this experience, and it ended with the lady reassuring me and giving me a spiritual healing!! Laughing

two more - I often work with my friend Kiera. She is much more psychic than I am.
We read for an elderly man. Beforehand, Kiera told me she woke up with the song "Tulips from Amsterdam" going round in her head. She mentioned it to the man and asked "Can you by any chance relate to it?" - he said "Yes, I am going to see my son in Amsterdam next week, he is taking me to the bulb fields to see the tulips".

Whilst doing a reading, Kiera said "I can see a kitten called Boris". It meant nothing to our client, she never heard of a cat called Boris. A few days later, the woman rang Kiera to say "My daughter got a kitten last week and you won't believe it....she called it - Boris!"

Martijn, I look forward to 'scientific palm reading' (a new concept that I will try introduce & define in 2011 Thumbs up!

I understand what you are saying about Some individuals tend to mix their primary emotions with their intuitions - which can easily be recognized by the results: confusion, delusion, conflicts, etc.
In fact, when people first start reading people's hands, they are often 'reading for themselves'! even seeing things that aren't there! projecting their own 'stuff' onto their interpretations of others hands. I think I was guilty of this when I first started reading hands. Embarassed It is very important to first apply handreading to yourself and really get to know ourselves before we can read for others. It can involve learning harsh lessons about our true nature, but it is important before we can begin to try to help others.

and I agree with your belief that intuition also has a rather complex psychological component which relates to our individual inner nature.

Intuition means a direct perception based on independent of any reasoning process; immediate apprehension, untaught and that has no inferential knowledge, unjustified belief. This is insight only and vague thinking. Whatever some people may call it who do not like it or are against this.

This is also a fact that in today’s world it has not much value. People are becoming interested in rational and clear thinking, like the study of fingerprints. Instead of that if we could rely on gut feelings than it could be okay because ‘gut feelings’ is based on ‘past experience and personal talent’, but, this is also a fact that we will need intuition to ‘assume’ or ‘assess’ for the future outcome as Palmistry is not a definite science but is the science of probabilities. Intuitive people have ‘intuition’ line on their hands and doing their business. Richard himself has written that the knack or secret of successful study of fingerprints depends on chirological study of rest of the palms of the hands. So, Praveenji the importance of ‘intuition’ in Palmistry will remain forever much or less that is a question and only time will tell about this. This is a fact that its importance is reducing of course especially in study of hand reading. In my case I rely on gut feelings.
