Re: The extraordinary story of a mother who has an unusual hand-handicap
Very interesting!
Reminded me of when my I carried my son as a toddler into a bank lobby that was in an old building. Large space with marble floors - very echo-ey. My son reached out his arm and pointed at this man walking toward the exit and said very loudly and clearly "He has a big nose!" It was a big nose. The man ignored us and didn't look in any direction other than the door and the tellers were about to burst from holding back laughter. I'm sure I was red as a beet and wanted to melt into the floor.
Reading hands in public I often get to see hands deformed from birth. Most of the time the people put both hands out to be read and sometimes they only put out one hand. Recently at a high school prom where I did readings a young man held back one hand and when I asked to see it he let me and I think he even liked that I spent time comparing the features of one hand to the other. Interestingly, and unfortunately, the structure of the hand was badly twisted and deformed but his dermatoglyphics and main creases were formed normally which led me to believe that something happened to the hand after it was developed. He had been told there was an accident during his birth. I wouldn't have found that out if I hadn't engaged him.
At least with our skills, when we see people with deformed hands, we can say we study hands and would they mind if we took a closer look!
Good video!
