TRIBUTE: The hands of Nelson Mandela!

Post  Martijn (admin) on Sun Jun 30, 2013 11:31 am

Nelson Mandela's major hand characteristics:

- FINGERPRINTS:
Right hand: loop - loop - ? - ? - ?
Left hand: double loop - double loop - ? - ? - ?

- FINGERS: Strong, short, stubby fingers; extra crease on little finger (proximal phalange)

- THUMB: Strong, broad thumb;

- HAND SHAPE: Broad, fleshy & firm;

- HAND LINES: Balanced primary lines; headline long attached to lifeline; multiple long 'ring finger lines' (a.k.a. 'sun lines' or 'apollo lines'); long stable 'pinky finger line' (a.k.a. 'mercury line').

NOTICE: The United Nations announced 18 july as 'Mandela Day'; his self-made hand print collection (featured in his art project 'My Robben Island') became an inspiration for the design of the hands-symbol associated with this day.

His thumb looks a bit pointed at the tip, Lori Reed describes this as impulsive, sensitive and adept at manipulating other peoples feelings. If so I think he done it in a positive way.

yeah, his pinkies look long and pointed too, a gift for saying what people want to hear, but I was most interested in the short index finger on his right hand coupled with a long third finger and a low and wide set thumb, we had a great celebrity showman and tv personality here in uk with those traits, he hid aspects of his personality behind his public face, but then I guess anyone in the public eye might need to do that

I don't think his thumb is low set or wide angle, looks average to me. He appears to be opening his hand unnaturally, I agree with the pointed pinkie though, gives him good intuition.
