Robert 'Ted' Bundy (serial killer): handprint + fingerprints

Post  Martijn (admin) on Mon Mar 09, 2015 11:03 am

Hand of a serial killer: Ted Bundy (November 24, 1946 – January 24, 1989)

Robert 'Ted' Bunday was an American serial killer, kidnapper, rapist, and necrophile who assaulted and murdered numerous young women and girls during the 1970s and possibly earlier. Shortly before his execution, after more than a decade of denials, he confessed to 30 homicides committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978. The true victim count remains unknown, and could be much higher.

Ted  Bundy's fingerprint profile:

- Right hand: whorl - radial loop - ulnar loop - ulnar loop - ulnar loop
- Left hand: ulnar loop - ulnar loop - ulnar loop - ulnar loop - ulnar loop

PS. Quite weird to see how Richard Unger assessed (at his website + book) Ted Bundy's fingerprints; his book (Lifeprints, page 227) reports the following formula:

R: Loop - Tented Arch - Loop - Peacock - Loop
L: Loop - Peacock - Tented Arch - Loop - Loop

NOTICE: Unger's assessment inside his book is clearly incorrect, even the official fingerprint file reports a 'PI' (whorl) code for the right thumb... which would make the right thumb the highest ranked finger in his approach.

Here's a 2nd handprint involving Ted Bundy's left hand (made by the FBI in 1975):

Hello Martijn,

The shape of fingers in this print does not match the shape of his fingers as seen in the previous pictures (particularly, the one in which he is joining both palms together).

The little and index fingers look straight in the real pictures than in the prints.
Could it be an artifact while taking the palm prints !

Regards
Rajeev
