This is an article I wrote a while back. I have been seeing a lot of clients recently, and the relevance of the index finger is always paramount.

The Index finger in hand reading is a massive indication of how someone functions and the way their personality is driven. It is the finger of the self, of ego and how one views oneself. One’s sense of pride, self-esteem, responsibilities, self awareness and confidence all lead back to this finger. The Index finger shows how you view yourself, the approach you take to yourself and situations within your life, as well as with other people.

It is a very telling sign if a person has a long or short index. It shows a very specific inner nature and way of functioning, which is deeply rooted in the person and is expressed through their actions and way of being. In order to understand how a person with an index finger of either type drives themselves, motivates themselves, and what their psychological tendencies are we must understand the basic principles of the two variations.
