hi martjin and other professionals out there

nice to see you continuing the effort and the initiative ...of putting up a brand new forum for us (enthusiasts) ...

before the previous forum was put down i had this idea of introducing a new type of study called metoposcopy which basically deals with reading the lines on the forehead..this study has been part of face reading as you well might know (i hope) but around the 16 th century a person named jerome cardan inroduced & researched on this subject thus creating a model view of various degree of lines found on the forehead and thus defining their characteristic.

here is an over view:

Metoposcopy is a form of divination in which the diviner
predicts personality, character, and destiny, based on the pattern of
lines on the subject's forehead. It was developed by the 16th century
astrologer and physician Jerome Cardan. The 16th century astrologer Giovanni Antonio Magini also concerned himself with this subject.

In all, Cardano worked up about 800 facial figures, each associated with
astrological signs and qualities of temperament and character. He declared
that one could tell by the lines on her face which woman is an adulteress
and which has a hatred of any lewdness. Long, straight furrows indicate
nobility of character. He claimed to be able to tell the generous from the
trickster by their distinct lines and noted that having three curved furrows
on the forehead proves one is a dissolute simpleton. The strongest feature
of metoposcopy is that it is a non-invasive method of quickly assessing
character. Its weakest features are that it has no scientific merit,
although it can be easily verified by confirmation
bias, and it is very cumbersome to have over 800 character traits to
consider.

actually reading fore head is common to india ...and has been practiced since ancient times as kind of a divine art form as par with palmistry.but slowly it has lost its significance and dont see many occult followers putting put enough information on this topic but i do feel this art form is as important as many other predictive art forms. I hope others share my enthusiasm for this topic as details about this study is not that mentioned.

i hope upendrya ji will put some light on this topic and i am sure martjin will find this subject interesting enough...as he is quite good on researching new stuff . and i do hope from now on i putt more posts on this forum as i didn't really took advantage of the previous opportunity

here is a link about cardan's work on this subject.
