Difference b/w Highset finger and a Long finger
Hi,
Is there a difference between a highset finger and a long finger?
Say, I have 2 hands in which the tip of the index finger is reaching above the half length of the top phalange of the Saturn finger. However, in one hand, it is 'coz of its length and the other hand it is 'coz of the setting of the index finger.
Is there any difference in the readingsr?

Re: Difference b/w Highset finger and a Long finger
Hello Kiran
from the way books descibe about setting it indicates whether the nature of person is more balanced or not. usually low set little finger when compared to other fingers setting would add to lack of self confidence is what i have read from books, it seems quite contradictory because jupiter would attribute for self confidence.
But my thought would be setting might have an impact in the zone length, thus uneven setting would have an impact in passive and active zone. for example jupiter high set and mercury low set would indicate the active zone are more dominant and passive zones are less dominant, from which we have to accrodingly interpret. so emotional and intutuitive side might be be less dominant. Henceforth its interpretation can be infered from the length of the fingers.
Somebody else could probably give better insight.

Thank you Anand. Some good points in your reply.
But, my qtn is different: Its about "setting" of a finger and "length" of a finger.
Jupiter was just an example.

Hello Kiran, Patti
Thanks patti.
The setting would have impact on the zones of palm, for example mercury, appollo would have impact on subconciuos or passive zone and the other three (thumb, jupiter, saturn) on the active or dominant zone. Like for example high set mercury for a normal mercury finger would enhance the activity of subconcious zone and the expression of subconcious would come out based on the length of mercury finger. so if mercury finger length is normal he would communicative his passive feeling in a lesser expressive way. The same would apply for the jupiter finger, high set would increase your active zone hence forth your conciousness, determination ect and this would be expressed by the length of the finger, long length jupiter finger with high set would project themselves as being dominant and pushy and show acts of bosiness and ambituousness (here the zone as well as the length of finger plays a role). Ofcourse we have to look at saturn and thumb to create a combined expression.
I would suggest by combining setting with length would give you which specific zone within an active and passive zone becomes dominant and within that specific zone which areas of personality becomes dominant. actually now when iam thinking this would be good approach to have analysis on specific areas of domination.
Thanks
