Hi Asif.
Thanks for posting interesting info, but you didn't mentioned good qualities refers to if phalanx are long as compared to other and negative qualities in case of short phalanx as compared to rest of two phalanx of sun finger. Right?
I always had a view that longer the sun finger as compared to index, the more tendencies to indulge in masturbation. Right?
Thanks

I think some of them aren't correct.
For ex: Lower phalange of Mercury has nothing to do with shrewdness.
Mid phalange of Apollo has nothing to with integrity
Mid phalange of Saturn doesn't indicate system, research and order. They belong to top phalange. Lower phalange of Jupiter has nothing to do with happiness.
So are the cases with bad qualities like - dislike for opp. sex for Saturn lower phalange, stupidity for lower phalange of Apollo etc.
additional lines in phalanges
additional line is there in jupiter and sun fingers. what is the result.asif amin wrote:This is taken from " Encyclopedia of Palm and Palm reading - a treatise on palmistry" by Samudrik Tilak M. Katakkar.

Re: Characteristics of Phalanges of Fingers
Hello Ashoka,
From your picture, I wonder if the line across Apollo fingertip is an extra crease, or if it is a 'blocking line' crossing the phalanx, without a picture it is impossible to say. If it is a blocking line, it would frustrate the self expression or creativity of Apollo finger.
I have tried to find out about extra phalangeal creases for years, I wrote something on my website years ago http://www.handanalysis.co.uk/handanalysis.htm but really nobody seems to fully understand their significance with regard to palmistry interpretation.
There are some discussions about extra interphalangeal creases here:
