Johnny Fincham's new book
Great to hear that Johnny Fincham has another book due out next year!
You might recall that his previous books were:
"The Spellbinding Power of Palmistry: Complete Palmistry Course Book with Exercises" Green Magic Books. 2005.
"Palmistry: From Apprentice to Pro in 24 Hours - The Easiest Palmistry Training Course Ever Written" O Books, August 2007
I've copied this from Johnny's facebook message yesterday .....
I know I am probably biased because Johnny learnt at the same school as me, he is a friend of mine, to my complete surprise he mentioned me in acknowledgements page of his first book! But I think I can also be objective in saying that Johnny is a great teacher of modern handreading, and his books are well worth reading. Look out for it next May!

Hi, y'all! I've just finished my latest book, which is 'Ten Minute Palmistry'. Very short - only around 50 pages. Should be out next May next year, and published by 'O Books'.
The book after this will be 'Palmistry in fifteen seconds', ha-ha!

Pssst...
Lynn, I have another scoop for you, but don't tell anyone...

This is 'top secret'... a few weeks ago... Johnny joined this forum anonymously!

Oooh, maybe if Johnny agrees - we could create another 'unsolvable' QUIZ from this 'public secret'!!
(Just kidding...

pff with my eyesight, even with magnifying glass I am mainly guessing....
Did he really? oh well maybe he will post eventually to say what a great judge of handreaders I am!

Johnny Fincham's new book
I'm a HUGE fan of Johnny's palmistry books --my copies are all dog-eared and marked up. I will be sure to watch for his new book next year.
And be sure to read his work of fiction While The Gods Sleep. It's truly a fascinating read with lots of food for thought. (This really isn't off topic since Johnny's protagonist is a palmist.)

Sounds like it will be a real hoot to meet "da great hand man" at his workshop in February! Sure hope he brings some of that regional turnip wine.

Norfolk dialect, in France, after the turnip wine... hmmm....I don't reckon your chances of learning much at that workshop Roberta, how will you understand a word of it?

Re: Johnny Fincham's new book
Since when does palmistry take ten minutes to learn?
Good for him, the majority of people who purchase these books are looking for an introduction to the art without going overboard. He is a good teacher, makes it seem approachable to the layman. He has a good voice and charisma...might consider an instructional video somewhere down the road. Give him a high five from all of us Lynn

Hi Lynn,
Guess I'll just have to take my chances and go with an open mind. (As long as my brain doesn't fall out.)
Cheers,
Roberta

Re: Johnny Fincham's new book
Hi Den. When Johnny wrote "Palmistry: From Apprentice to Pro in 24 Hours". My initial thoughts were "Who on earth can learn palmistry in a day?"!. But when I saw his book I understood. My palmistry course is 2 hours a week for 12 weeks = 24 hours. Not quite the same as learning it in a day! I have no idea what the "twist" will be in his "Palmistry in 10 mins" book, maybe it will help me to do readings in 10 mins instead of 1 - 2 hours!!Den wrote:Since when does palmistry take ten minutes to learn?![]()
Hi Roberta, Glad you are aware that your mind could be so open that your brain could fall out - especially if he has strained the turnip wine thru an old sock!Roberta wrote:Hi Lynn,

Johnny Fincham's New Book
Thanks, Lynn. I'm really psyched about the seminar. There's such a vast amount to learn in palmistry -- just hope I'm up to the task.
You should come too for the sock-flavored turnip wine! We would have great laughs (and torment "da great hand man")

Hi Roberta, how did the seminar go with Johnny ("da great hand man") in France? Please tell me you didn't drink turnip wine sieved thru his old sock! ;-)
Looking forward to hearing about it. Sorry if you already posted about it somewhere, I was in Morocco for 2 weeks in Feb and maybe missed some posts here. Hope you had a great time and learnt lots!

Hi Lynn!
You're a sweetie to ask about my experience with Johnny in France. Gosh, it was fantastic! Learned lots and lots and it will take time to integrate it all. Johnny is a grand teacher and a really funny guy.
There was plenty of wine with our fabulous food, but even though I watched him closely, I never actually caught him in the act of filtering it through his socks. (When he remembered to wear them.)
I met some lovely people and made new friends.. The down side was catching a French respiratory bug while there (much more exotic than the plain old American variety, of course)
Your two weeks in Morocco make me green with envy. I envision warmth and mysterious people. Do hope you had a marvelous time! I would love to hear about it.
Thanks so much, Lynn, for being you and for all you do for us.
Warm regards,
Roberta

Re: Johnny Fincham's new book
Hi Roberta,
Glad you enjoyed your experience and had a great time, apart from catching the bug.
Is Johnny's new book really called Palmistry in 10minutes and do you know if it is still May when it comes out. Thanks,
Jeanette.

Johnny Fincham's new book
Hi Jeanette,
Johnny did briefly mention his new book due out in May. I don't really know much about it but we can always take a look when it comes out. His first book The Spellbinding Power of Palmistry was the text we used for his wonderful workshop. While I always enjoy adding palmistry books to my modest collection, his book is the one I refer to again and again. That being said, I feel it's important to evaluate ideas.from many authors and test them for ourselves.
Always good chatting with you. Isn't this forum great?
Best,
Roberta

Re: Johnny Fincham's new book
Hi Roberta,
First of all it is indeed great talking to each other. It is a great forum and has been a life saver for me. Well, looks like we will just have to wait till the book comes out and I am so looking forward to it. My opinion is The Spellbinding Power of Palmistry is an excellent book. I too always go back to it. I find it so easy to find things in and things are explained quickly and simply. Talk to you soon and thanks for the reply.

Dear Lynn:
Thank you very much for sharing the good news of Johnny Fincham's new book.
In the world of Chirology, he is my hero. He is really spell-binding. His book ""The Spellbinding Power of Palmistry" is kept near my PC.This book has been recommended to my students.
Your remark:
"Johnny is a great teacher of modern handreading, and his books are well worth reading" is true, very true.
Thank you very much once again.

Re: Johnny Fincham's new book
hi Anthony, I'll email Johnny and see if we can get an update as to whether it is being published. Notice these posts were from last year and we haven't any recent news about a new book.
Re: Johnny Fincham's new book
I had a reply from Johnny - "the book should come out sometime in Summer. It's only a little palmistry book called something like 'ten minute palmistry'. "
