hi
What kind of finger ratio would you expect to find in a male with talent for painting or drawing?

Thanks

Hi woodwater,

Talent for painting & drawing belongs to the creative arts, which is usually recognized as a more feminine activity - which can be associated with a HIGH digit ratio.

So I would prefer to say that the fundamental answer to your question is that a high finger ratio is more likely associated with talent for painting or drawing.

"H2a: 2D and 4D correlate negatively with social interests within sexes.
H2b: 2D and 4D correlate positively with realistic interests within sexes."

(Copied from page 81: http://opus.ub.uni-hohenheim.de/volltexte/2012/699/pdf/Dissertation_KPaessler.pdf )

"…people with strong interests in the Artistic domain are expected to shine
in languages and the arts, whereas people with strong interests in the Investigative and
Realistic domains
are expected to show high abilities in mathematics."

However... in order to become very succesful as an artist it might actually take a high level of masculine (male) energy (in order to become a succesful top-artist); this explains why famous artists (such as Pablo Picasso & Salvador Dali) have a very LOW digit ratio!

I hope this makes sense?

You hit the nail in the thread.
Ive always preferred feminine stuff like drawing cartoons, languages, astrology and music.I lack the discipline for drawing cartoons but am involved with a music rock band.I dont play guitar very well for the reasons you mentioned, fortunately I make up for that with my creativity. The other band members like my songs.
I also tend to like masculine looking women like athletes
