Strange patent... for a 'hand reflexology glove'!???
In 1993 a US patent for a hand reflexology glove was established:
"As an improvement to the utility and techniques of hand reflexology, a hand reflexology glove (54) comprised of a pliant plastic material is intended for placement upon a hand (14). A hand reflexology zone morphological map (50) along with a plurality of reflex zone lines (24L, 26, 28, 30 and 32) provide an accurate hand reflexology guidance interface during a reflexology treatment (60) being performed by a hand (34). Reflexology glove (54) directly overlays actual organ and bodily function reflex receptor zone points naturally occurring in hand (14), allowing an individual to instantly and accurately access any hand reflex receptor zone of interest."

Hello Liliana,
Thanks for your feedback!
I have a question about your glove: I assume that it looks like the one below, but I am wondering: does your gloves put any pressure on your hands while wearing it? Or is there only a 'print' on those gloves - meant as a few tips for a purposeful hand massage?

Martijn,
no the gloves do not put any pressure on the hands.
The box contain - relfexology gloves, a reflex ball, a laminated hand chart, and an instructional book. I try to put some pictures here, for you to make a better idea, but I don't know how to do it. If I figure out, I will post them.

Hi Liliana,
Thanks for sharing those materials - funny that they included a ball with the gloves!

PS. I misunderstood the patent initially. Since - before your response - I had noticed that such gloves were available, but I assumed that the patent was saying that some kind of reflexology-technology (to 'put pressure' on the hand) should be included with the glove.
But now I see that it says:
"...during a reflexology treatment (60) being performed by a hand (34)."
I guess this implicates that the patent doesn't include any reflexology-technology, so your example does appear to meet the patent description!.
The details of the patent are described here:

But yes, it's funny to use a ball!

UPDATE: The first post is now also featured with the 2nd hand reflexology chart that is described inside the 1993 patent.
PS. NOTICE: Other hand reflexology gloves often describe guidelines which differ from this patent, see pictures below (only the 3rd glove is similar to what is described inside the patent).

Anyway as a thought the ball is used for massage as it is believed to activate parts of gands connected to nerves . Balls will be more uniforme than pressing by finger. A practitioner will explain better.
What I doubt and wonder would those gloves not miss a part if the point : gloves are not automatically fitting. That means those zones would be not exactly matching in the hand with the gloves.
