Diet based on Blood Type
This is not a new diet or concept. It first hit the scene back in the late 90s. But, for whatever reason or chain of events I found this site.
Dr. Peter D'Adamo - Eat Right For Your Type
I am trying it out based on my blood type which is A. The theory, in short, is that when mankind was originally hunter gatherers, they all had type O blood and they were used to eating meat and whatever else the found and had learned they could eat. Then as they became agriculturally inclined, type As arose. And then later type Bs and finally type ABs. Furthermore, our blood type dictates a plethora of mechanisms within our anatomy including our gastro-intestinal system and immune system. I will not try to explain that here, but what it boils down to is that there are all kinds of foods that each of us should not eat. And there are other foods that are super beneficial to us. The biggest thing that I have learned and/or confirmed is that I should be a vegetarian and that I should not eat tomatoes (among other things).
What is perhaps of special interest to this forum is where Dr. D'Adamo has taken his work since the original book release. Which is, he has further refined the blood type model to include more detail by genotype. Much of this relates to how people migrated around the planet as mankind evolved and the fundamental roles individuals began to play. Hunters, Warriors, Explorers, Teachers, Gatherers, Nomads, and so forth. The interesting part is that one of the ways in which he helps people determine which group they fall within uses dermatoglyphics. Types and number of fingerprint patterns, palmar asymmetries, and even the 2D:4D ratio (interesting that he approaches this from the estrogen perspective and not the testosterone perspective... which probably tells you who his target market is).
The Genotype Diet - Change Your Genetic Destiny
For instance, look at:
The Teacher
"Teachers often have a significant number of whorl type fingerprints, a useful indicator of future cancer risks, especially for women. Research has shown that the presence of six or more whorl fingerprint patterns is associated with an increased risk of breast cancer, with a statistical significant no different from having a positive mammogram. That's pretty dramatic! In type A Teachers, a whorl count greater than 6 should be considered a wake-up call for a pro-active cancer prevention program. "
I found it very interesting how someone has managed to pull together lots of research about the human hand and use that to some productive end.
Each of the genotypes has a bit of dermatoglyphics tied to it which I found to be interesting reading.
Enjoy

I dont know if anyone has read this but its an excelent book
when we eat foods that dont agree with us ie common ailments arthritus
inflamed joints etc cause us problems
the peptides from the gut go into the blood and cause problems in weak areas
constipation , inflamation of the colon cause problems elsewhere in the body
Our bodys become over acidique and make us hungrier ,therefore we
want to eat more
pork , tomoatoes and red peppers , milk and bread can cause problems
