I am also pleased to see that the new (improved) ranking-method has resulted in that there are now 7 countries included in the TOP 10, which definitely illustrates the international character of this 6-year old project:
- 3 hand reading websites from the USA
(no.2, 4, and 5)- 2 palm reading websites from Canada
(no.1 & 10)- 1 chirology website from
Israel (no.3)- 1 cheirology website from South-Africa
(no.6 - Jennifer's website)- 1 hiromantia website from
Russia (no.7)- 1 handlesen website from Germany
(no.8 - Manfred's website)- 1 palmistry website from The Netherlands

Yes indeed... quite impressive. Her book probably played a significant part in the popularity growth of her websites (actually, about half of the authors in the TOP 10 have published a book somewhere in the past)

By the way, this update is based on the same 'formula' as the 2010 update. But I am beginning to notice that many websites appear not to attract many visitors - but sometimes they do score high in the TOP 100 ranking.The new no.1 is an example of this: high scores on Google Pagerank + Seomoz PR... but not much traffic at all! => An indication of 'quality', but due to the small traffic one can wonder... is it really that popular???
So, I think the next update will include a much higher 'weight' for the Alexa Reach (which is based on an estimate of the number of visitors).
Your thoughts & ideas are welcome...

Hi Martijn,
I noticed the second list has my website in the top 25 and in the next category it's in your first list. The difference I notice is that in the second list they have noticed that I've added pages in the past few months and this is not noted in the first list. Would that be the difference in the ranking?

I notice that my website in 2009 list shows 19 pages, 2010 lists 15 pages and now 2011 shows 18 pages, .... but I have 17 pages! It was 16 pages for many years, I added one page in 2009. Also eg Alexa says I have 10 incoming links - I have a lot more than that. So I'm not sure how accurate it all is, but am happy to be listed in top 10 :-)

That's odd! I'm sure I didn't imagine it! But in the first post I clicked the link and didn't find my website listed until somewhere in the upper 40's. It showed 5 pages. You hadn't yet added the following post.
Then when you added the last update it moved to 24. I could click on each link (each post) and get the different results to compare. Now both links take me to the same ranking and shows 8 pages.

Lynn, don't worry... whether you have 15, 18, 17, or 16 pages... it doesn't affect your Palmistry-Rank score at all.
And the no. of links reported by Alexa is no factor either.
PS. I am using the no. of pages for your website reported by Google , and the no. links is no longer included in the Palmistry-Rank.
