my unexpected news
Hi Everybody,
I don't know where to post this.
Thought you might like to know that I have received an email from the Scottish Daily Mail newspaper saying at the weekend they are doing a light hearted article on Prince William and are looking for a palm reader and asked if I would be interested. Would very much appreciate opinions and advice. Thanks a lot.
Jeanette.

My unexpected news did not last long. I just got an email from the paper saying that they got someone. I am just telling myself better luck next time.

Re: my unexpected news
Hi Patti,
I have just asked Martijin if he can get his hands and if not I hope, as you say, whoever does it will share them. I was so disappointed to get the email saying they had got someone else. The email came yesterday when I was away overnight and did not get back until later this morning. I was building myself up for it, feeling nervous but going for it. Oh well maybe I am not ready and it was not my time.

Re: my unexpected news
You'll be called again! Yeah, calls like that you have to hop on quick. They most likely called a number of people and it was whoever called back first. Been there done that, just like you - felt I needed to put myself in the right frame of mind to call back and then find out someone had picked up when their phone ring and got the booking.
(err 'emailed' rather than called - for me it's often calls)

Re: my unexpected news
Thanks Patti,
Feel better for you explaining the procedure. I didn't know how it worked, but with your advice I will be prepared for when, hopefully, the next offer arises.

Re: my unexpected news
That's good news Jeanette, shame someone else got there first, but nice that you were asked. As Patti says, it'll happen again.

Re: my unexpected news
Thanks Lynn, now that Patti has explained this procedure you echo her statement that I will be asked again I feel very reassured.

Jeanette.
I received your PM and email. You assumed that they contacted you via this forum, but I think it is much more likely that they found your name in the 'Global Palm Reading Network', where you email is directly available:

If you are interested in such offers, you might want to add your phone number to your 'profile page'.
Yes, I can confirm Patti's advice: if you are really interested to participate in such projects... in the future you should try to respond as quickly as possible!

PS. I will soon share a few pictures presenting an impression of Prince William's hands
Re: my unexpected news
Martijin,
Will I send you my phone no. by PM and you put it on? Thanks,
Jeanette.

Hi Jeanette,
Yes, you're welcome to send it, then I will include it in your 'profile page'.

Re: my unexpected news
The article is in todays Scottish Mail on Sunday. Three palmists give their opinions. Robin Lown, Katie Coutts and Johnny Fincham. It is very good.Martijin I will send my phone no. and thanks for doing this. That makes sense they would look on the Global palmreading network.

Hi Roberta,
I would love to post them, but it is very limited what I can do on the computer and I wouldn't have a clue where to start. Sorry about that.

Yes it would be good to read it. I tried to find that newspaper online but I didn't find the article (not sure if it was correct newspaper!). Do you know anyone who could scan it for you Jeanette?
Re: my unexpected news

Re: my unexpected news
Hi Lynn,
I photocopied the article in the paper and put the paper in the bin. However, I got it out, sellotaped it together and I have posted it to you. I sent it to the Torquay Market in Market St.
I read it again and ,as you will see, it shows a photo of William and Kate visiting St. Andrews and what you see of his hand is similar to what Martijin posted. In the email the paper sent me she said they had good clear photos of William's hands. However, I have just read a post from Goldenarrow and she was sent the good clear photos and said she would post them on the forum. I was excited, dying to see them but, she tried and could not manage to post them. She sounds like me, but at least she tried. I wouldn't know where to start. Hopefully she will master it.

Re: my unexpected news
Thanks very much Jeanette, I received the article today (against all the odds as you will see....)
I have posted the scans of the article on the Prince William thread.

Better luck next time in being first off the mark to say "I'll do it!" We look forward to the next Scottish Sunday Mail palmistry feature saying "Jeanette from Paisley said..."
P.S. and as you've figured out, "Goldenarrow" is "Palmist Johnny Fincham who has appeared on ITV's this morning..."

Re: my unexpected news
Hi Lynn, If I do get an article printed, at least I now know how to send it to you to post on the forum. I will not put it in the bin. I will cut it out straight away, so it will be nice and smooth, then I will post it to the lady in the delicatessen, ask her to put a bit of cheese on it and give it to you. I did not know Johnny Fincham was also known as Goldenarrow. If I ever decide to go by another name I think I will use the name Silverspear.Lynn wrote:Thanks very much Jeanette, I received the article today (against all the odds as you will see....)
