Woodwater, I think I understand why you made this association... but things are little bit more complicated than what you appear to assume here.woodwater wrote:hi

For example:
Testosterone has a positive correlation with visuospatial talents... AND athletic ability. However, this does not implicate that people who have visuospatial talents also should have athletic abilities.
Maybe I can explain this as follows: in the perspective of sports blacks often tend to excell in speed related activities (sometimes combined with visuospatial skills, such as: boxing, basketball, football); however, visuospatial abilities related to mathmatics concern really a different type of skill.
Also... an abundance of testosterone is more likely to result in an undermining of internalizing interests - which are probably required for a talent related to mathmatics to become manifest.
I hope this illustrates how things are likely much more complicated than what you may have assumed so far - I hope this makes sense?

I have a talent for drawing/painting. Doesnt that require visual skill too?

Yes, drawing/painting does require visual skills... but drawing/painting does not always require visuospatial skills - which is more related to 'spatial intelligence'.woodwater wrote:Thanks Martijn

(Drawing/painting can generally be described as a more flat/static activity, it does not require much of mental manipulation of 2-dimensional and/or 3 dimensional figures or objects, etc.)
