About right pinky, quote from IMDB:
Broke the pinky finger of his right hand during a childhood basketball accident and never had it set correctly, resulting in the finger healing in a crooked position. The finger is still crooked to this day, bent at the bottom knuckle a full 45 degrees outward from his other fingers.

very, very brief comment (more later). AMAZING photos, btw!
1. Thick, strong fingers; spatulate tips!
2. Hand looks like that of a manual laborer, but the person is NOT a manual laborer!
3. Lines are very deep and well-defined (my seven dimensions again!).
4. Skin is leathery and tough!
4. Lines, by themselves are UNREMARKABLE!!!!
How does this make sense if he is one of the greatest actors the present era?
This goes back to the same thing I mentioned in my 7 dimensions post! Hard work will beat the pants off talent alone each and every single time! Here is my main point: hand such as this one is of someone who works very, very hard! AND THAT IS THE REASON FOR THIS PERSON'S SUCCESS!!!
Remember:
Lines= talent
Hand/finger shape (seven dimensions) = hard work, effort and industry
Conclusion: "hard-working" hands will always win and "talented" hands will seldom win!

this is by no means an ordinary hand.
the high res image on entertainmentrundown.com
to me shows a star on Apollo which is rare and always indicates brilliance...fame and wealth.
then there is a picture from cbisgnet that shows a fish ( or may be 2) at the start of fate line. Again fish in that location has been known to take people to great heights--Shahrukh Khan and Sonia Gandhi are 2 such examples.
Not always.....but often times destiny imprints signs of greatness on the palm.

A funny aspect of Denzil Washington's right hand broken pinky finger (as described by Capri: due to an childhood accident) is that on some photos it manifests as a really rather remarkable characteristic - while in other photos his hand looks quite normal.A few more of the rather remarkable photo (some of them are impressions from his movies):

My opinion about his finger that he probably got it corrected, because in his late interviews it looks so much better.
I've posted that quote from IMDB, because can't find an article of the correction.
But of course, maybe I'm wrong and everything is being photoshopped.

I just found a 2004 report which describes the nature of pinky finger troubles with more details:
"HE HAS A TRICK PINKIE
Candidate costar Kimberly Elise saw the intense actor's lighter side. "He has this pinkie that goes out of joint"—Washington says he'll soon have surgery on it—"and he'd freak you out with it. He'll tell a child, 'come and touch my pinkie,' and it will collapse."

So... as a child Denzil even used his pinky for perfoming a 'trick';
... I guess now we know how he developed his acting skills! 
But this also explains why it took him so long to decide to correct the problem... because basically the problem concern only that his pinky only sometimes gets dislocated from it's proximal joint!!
By the way, this also implicates that it is hard to judge from photos whether he was able to fix the problem since then...
... because it never manifested as a permanent problem; but it appears that there is so far no confirmation that he fixed the problem.
... And now I recognize that Denzil continued to 'use' his pinky finger, because knowing about the nature of the problem ...I think he made this 1998 handprint at Grauman's Chinese Theatre (at Hollywood Boulevard) deliberately with a purpose!!! 
Denzil must have had quite a lot of fun about his pinky finger... maybe he never really wanted to correct it!???

The Manchurian Candidate and Man on fire were both released in 2004 (the pictures you've presented), so maybe the public pressure (published photos) and thoughts about fixing came afterwards?
And that IMDB quote is actually misleading? It sounds like a permanent state.

I think the IMDB info was taken from some other website - which was probably not well informed either.
I just found this 2007 picture (which displays an unnatural outward angle in the pinky finger) at:

... And I think we can safely conclude from this picture that his pinky-problem was not corrected before october 2007 - again, still not sure that it was EVER corrected.
While this photo from 1992 clearly shows that his pinky finger never was in a permanent '45 degrees bending'-condition like described by so many websites.

"Skin is leathery and tough" I doubt how can this observation be made?Leathery skin and toughness can be made only when we touch the palm.Doubt if youhave the chance of touching his palm.No offence please. The color is dark we can say but dont agree on your take for tough and leathery .Some dark coloured palms may be soft and white skin may be tough.I believe this in one drawback of photographic images or for that matter any palm prints.
I understand skin texture/dampness-dryness of palm /softness- hardness cant be made by looking on the palm print.And they do count in palmistry readings.
I have to agree with anu_d for the star on the mount of sun(It seems like) which made him famous.Otherwise I am with you on your comments for nothing so remarkable.

Your comment sounds like you think it looks like a perfectly normal pinky finger position... but if you take a closer look you will notice that it is 'bended'. Any normal 'bending' pinky will appear as if it curls toward the center of the palm (especially when a photo is taken from the ulnar side of the hand)
But in the photo the pink doesn't curl to the center of the palm at all: it does curls away from the palm - which is a very unnatural characteristic (especially since the photo was take from the ulnar side of the hand!).
And therefore I think that this photo actually is another impression of Washington's 'trick' pinky - though I can agree that it is not that obvious visible as seen in some of the more explicite examples presented earlier in this discussion.
Capri, are you sure that you are able to make a likewise gesture with your pinky finger?

Well, I know you will now hold on it, if I am able to do it, but the point is, it doesn't look so bad on that image.
I'm probably wrong if I think I could exactly match his degrees (won't now break my fingers to prove it). So that is a good point made by you!

I think these are comments passed on hapzardly, which will make the credibility of palmistry dubious. Proper judgement can not be made untill one takes into account all aspects of hand including, lines, marks, lenghth of fingers distance of fingers, loopsin the palm, size of fingers and various signs on various places etc.TruthSeeker wrote:very, very brief comment (more later).
