small islands formed by ridges on the palm - do they have the same implications as islands formed by solid lines???

Hello Bobby, thank you for your question!! Thanks!

My short answer would be a simple: 'no'.

But I can also present you a longer answer...

My basic approach in hand reading is to adress meaning to the most relevant characteristics of a hand. Islands in the (major) lines are for sure a factor of concern: because we know that the (major) line characteristics can have a specified meaning (in multiple perspectives).

But I can not make a likewise comment regarding the islands than indeed can be found in the fine 'ridge lines' (dermatoglyphics) on the palms & fingers. In general I would recommend to simply ignore such 'tiny' accessory characteristics.

Basically, I don't practive the FILOSOPHY that every single detail of a hand has a meaning. But I do practice the APPROACH to study interesting details in the perspective of other more significant hand characteristics.

FOR EXAMPLE:

If a hand shows a lot of 'islands' in the dermatoglyphics, and one find also quite a few islands in certain (primary) lines... then that become an interesting CONSTELLATION (= combination of related characteristics) for that hand.

I hope this makes sense!?
