Geneticist interested in association between palm lines and health

Post  ybeale on Sun Mar 18, 2012 7:08 pm

Hello all,
I've been really interested to find out how associations have been found between the lines of the hand and genetics/health. I would like to learn more and hope to do so through this forum. I'm a SAHM now but research my various interests.

Hello Yvonne,

I think the following section of my own website (including e.g. 9 pages about the nature of the primary lines) should become helpful for you to find answers regarding what is know about the hand lines from a scientific perspective:
http://www.handresearch.com/diagnostics/palmar-creases-hand-lines.htm

And the 10 pages about the 'simian line' should become helpful to make you aware that it's a rather complex topic to discuss the relationships between the hand lines and health/genetics in general:
http://www.handresearch.com/diagnostics/simian-line.htm

Maybe you can specify a little bit more how far you have gotten so far in your research... and I would also be interested to hear a little bit more about what made you wonder about this specific topic as a geneticist?
