Double loop or Memory loop on Moon mount

Hi,

I am battling to discern when a double loop is a true double loop. In this print, is the dermatoglyphic marking on the Moon mount a double loop or a memory loop?

And will the triradii visible at the bottom of the print then be classified as being a high palmar triradii? Or is it an additional triradii formed by the loop? (Or is this something I should check of the print itself?)

Hi Elizabeth, its a double loop.
And I think - you meant 'Moon' and not 'Venus' mount?

Positionally, its highly placed triradii only, the DL shouldn't matter.

You are right, it is definitely the moon mount. My mind was still on the previous question I posted re the arches on the Venus mount. Thanks for pointing it out!

Hi Elizabeth,

I can confirm that the pattern indeed concerns a double loop; the upper triradius provides an essential confirming clue for it's presence in this example (because a double loops requires to have an extra triradius - next to the one that is usually located near the wrist).

However, the lower triradius is only slightly higher than the normal position (normal position can be described with the letter t), because it is borderline located at about 25% of the length of the zone below the heart line; so I would prefer to describe it as a t' (= well above the normal range, but not 'high').

In general once can say that only triradii with a position located at more than 50% (of the zone below the heart line) can safely be described to have a 'high' position.

NOTICE: obviously, the upper triradius (which is at about 75%) does qualify to be described as 'high'!
