Hello Zebletai,
Long ago, almost 20 years ago, I decided to follow that path: combining a study in hand reading (at the Dutch 'Academie Anthropodynamica') with a study in psychology (at the University of Leiden).
And this combination has helped me very much to understand how much psychology really is involved in the fields of hand reading.
So, I can for sure recommend this combination...
