It reminds of a whole generation of astrologers using the wrong time for the birth of Chengiz Khan. Later, archeological & historical evidence proved that his assumed birth date was wrong by many many years!!! And whole reams of analysis had been published on the basis of an imaginary horoscope !
There are other inconsistencies that I see between the print & bundy's photo. Some you have already mentioned. I pointed out the thumb & pinky primarily because of the labeling on the print.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, I didn't check out the thread that Martijn linked to -
years ago I went to a Cheirological Society seminar about mental illness & mental handicap in the hand. We were given various handprints to look at. Most of us managed to correctly 'diagnose' some of the prints eg Down's syndrome, schizophrenia, depression. But there was at least one print where none of the trained hand readers could notice 'anything wrong'. That was the hand of the psychopath. Scary!!!!

I would have loved to take a peek at that palm of the psychopath!
Just rambling my thoughts=........................There may be certain palms which look quite 'bare' with crooked pinkies/very short middle finger... of course very crooked sun/jupiter finger too.
A big bodied person with a very small hand....
